Lightning bolt, hurricane
A shock to your veins
It lingers, it mirrors
It echoes inside my head
Day by day, through these trials
The past seems so far away
The time's now, don't stop yet
Another swarm awaits
What will it take?
Return those days
The tension, the horror
Adrenaline pumps through me
Noises thrills me, it stills me
From screaming out in pain
Go deeper, no longer
Can I cry about the past
No time to think twice now
Or it will be too late
Through rain, the heavy snow
The heat, the desert folds
The dreams we had are now dust in the wind
There's no looking back; the monsters will rise again
Though you're still here, you feel so far away
Are we giving up or do we fight another day?
We danced and chased as
Our friends all died around us
Their cries and their wishes
All repeat in my head
We cannot and will not
Succumb to these demons
What lies ahead
No one can ever say
Though it is getting hoarse
I shout until I'm heard
"We can be sad for friends that lost their lives
But we cannot let ourselves give up our will to fight
If we will have the same fate as our foes
